Hertz S8 DSP processor

S8 DSP is a distilled essence of technology at the service of the highest audio quality in a corrosion-free case cast in metal and composite materials.

S8 DSP processes the audio signal with 96 kHz / 24-bit resolution and has obtained the Hi-Res certification from the JAS (Japan Audio Society), an acknowledgment that certifies the extreme level of audio performance achieved.

The powerful 32-bit DSP manages 6 high/low-level analog input channels, one digital coaxial input, and 8 output channels, offering maximum freedom of configuration to the specialist. The SPDIF coaxial input is ideal for digital connection with a Hi-Res player, a solution that allows for maximum listening quality.

For each of the eight output channels we have a level control, the 15-pole parametric equalizer, time delays, and crossover filter available.

The 7-band parametric equalizer of the input signal allows obtaining a flat response from OEM sources, which have an exaggerated emphasis on the low frequency.

All connections are arranged on one side to facilitate installation and use robust Molex connectors for inputs and outputs.

MULTI PLATFORM PC SOFTWARE

We can control every parameter of the DSP wirelessly using the CONFIGURATOR App for Apple and Android tablets and smartphones, thanks to the integrated Bluetooth® 5.0 receiver

PC Software is available for both PC and Apple OS.

Four configuration presets are supported, so you can choose the ideal setup for every listening condition.

Each output channel features:

• All-Pass, High-Pass, Low-Pass Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley or Bessel crossover filter with 6dB to 30dB oct. with 6dB steps with phase inversion
• 15-pole parametric equalizer
• Time delays up to 471.2 cm (185.5 in.)

The specialist starts the tuning process by choosing the type of vehicle to install from three available options (Moto / Car / Free) and continues with the configuration of the speakers and all the other parameters.

Remote control App for Android and Apple allows you to manage the main functions of the DSP (Volume Master, Volume Sub) from the mobile device, without using one of the preset input trigger leads. 

You can freely combine the six inputs on the eight outputs using a practical matrix, or rely on one of the predefined presets.
